Hi, good to see Julie and Melvin Knight! I played euphonium for an area contest around 1993/4 - no longer with a brass band but am still playing/teaching piano. I live in Sussex now. Enjoy your music! Good website. ;0)

Was a player from 1966 to 1970 on backrow cornet and euph. Now play solo trom for Poynton Band. Its always great to bump into the Band at various contest. Brings back very fond memories of when I played with the Band. Will always have a soft spot and wish the band all the best for the future.

Just a line to say what an .....interesting concert it was at the Civic Hall on the 6th, (my birthday as it 'appens), but more importantly to say a huge thank you to Fred for mentioning it, and to those members of the band who sponsored me on the Charity bike ride in aid of Lewceemia (sic)research on Sunday the 8th. The ride went without a hitch and I managed to raise over 60 smackers myself, my two sons raising even more! (You may also be interested to know that I managed to bike from Bedrock to Skeggy, 120 miles, on the 9th to break my long distance record). Keep up the good work - Colin.
